Chiara Pedrazzetti

Chiara is a swiss harpist of great value and, despite his young age, is described as "a very good performer, already versatile and mature"

After a Bachelor at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste in Zurich Chiara attends the first year of Master in Performance and ends the year with the vote "distinction" at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She finished her studies at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland in Lugano graduating with honors.

Since the age of 14 years she performs with orchestras and various formations of chamber music (classical, jazz, contemporary) and his career already boasts numerous appearances at events across Europe but also in the United States, Brazil and Canada.

In addition to the classical harp Chiara loves very much even the Celtic harp and this passion leads her frequently to Ireland to follow workshops with leading exponents of traditional Irish music which, Máire Ní Chathasaigh, Catriona McKay, Paul Dooley and Grainne Hambly.

She has won numerous awards as well as national and international competitions and collaborates in various ensembles with whom she has recorded several CDs and plays an intense concert activity. Since 2010 she is a member of the committee of the Swiss Harp Association and from 2014 even in the Swiss Society of Music Pedagogy.

Chiara writes regularly for the newspaper Swiss Harp and her articles have been published in the UK and even on Harp Magazine Harp Column (USA).

She loves arrangements of songs, compose and she transmit all this passion to the students who regularly attend its courses, both of classical and Celtic harp.
