Andrea Quartarone

Andrea Quartarone was born in Catania in 1974 and lives in Syracuse.
Guitarist and prominent teacher at national and European level.
His second demo tape, recorded at the age of 16 years (1990), is considered the best of the year and reviewed by the most prestigious national magazines, making him win the title of "best young Italian promise" as regards the modern guitar.
He has recorded nine solo CDs, including "Presentation" (1997), "Guitar Academy in 2001" (2001), "Versatile" (2004), "Elektrio" (2008), "Guitar Academy 2011" (2011), " Acoustic Duo "with Carlo Fimiani (2012)," Life Portraits "with Chester Harlan (2012) and" Guitar Academy 2015 "(2015) that have received lots of favorable reviews in the national and international trade press.
Since January 2006 he has held master classes and seminars in the most prestigious academies and universities all over the world such as the GIT (division of "Musicians Institute", in Hollywood), USC (University of Southern California), both in Los Angeles (USA), Washington University of St. Louis (Missouri - USA), LAMA (Los Angeles Music Academy) in Los Angeles (USA) and recently (July 2009) in New York University (New York - USA) into the NY Summer Guitar Intensive Clinic, near artist names like: Mark Whitfield, Muriel Anderson, Peter Leitch, Kenny Wessel, Jerome Harris, Peter Bernstein and Dave Scott.
In 2008 he released ELEKTRIO (XtraMuse Records), then "Heard Instinct" (2009), contemporary Jazz CD in duo with Bruce Arnold, recorded in New York and produced by Museek Records.
Andrea is the General Director of the GAN (Guitar Academy Network) with 4 locations in Sicily and President of the ESC (European Summer Campus). He teaches in Catania, Siracusa and Palermo
