Jim Politis

Jim Politis is founder and guitarist of gypsy jazz ensemble "The Ghost Notes", a band with a style that combines several genres of music (metal, jazz, rock, blues, funk).

He graduated from the Conservatory of Athens (Filippos Nakas), in 2003 wins a scholarship of the Berklee College Institute (Modules: Jazz Guitar, Improvisation, Ear Training, Harmony, Composition, Lab Chord, Ensemble, Rock Guitar, drums, percussion, Prima Vista)

From 1999 to 2012 plays in various ensembles (jazz, rock, progressive) with which publishes many records.
In 2012 he founds the "The Ghost Notes", with wich publishes two albums very appreciated by critics and audiences, the second of which "Secrets of A Memory" sees the collaboration of George Kontrafouris.

He boasts many other live collaborations among which the one with Stochelo Rosenberg "The Rosenberg Trio" with whom he shares the stage for the first date of the third European tour of The Ghost Notes.

Jim lives in Athens, where he has an intense teaching activity that combines with a busy schedule live performances at major festivals and concert halls of Europe ... Royal Albert Hall (UK), Djangofest Festival (Greece), Brussels Jazz Marathon (Belgium), JekerJazz Festival (Netherlands) and many others.
